Mounting Descriptions

B3 – Foot Mounted
B3 motors are foot-mounted, with fixing feet located on the underside of the motor. This is one of the most common mounting arrangements and is suitable for applications where the motor can be securely fixed to a base, frame or mounting plate. B3 mounting is commonly used for pumps, fans, conveyors and general industrial machinery.

B5 – Flange Mounted
B5 motors use a large flange for mounting directly to the driven equipment. The flange provides a secure and accurate connection between the motor and the machine, making this arrangement particularly suitable where the motor is mounted directly to a gearbox, pump or other driven component rather than onto a base.

B14 – Small Face Mounted
B14 motors use a smaller flange with threaded mounting holes. This provides a compact mounting solution where space is limited and is commonly used for direct mounting to gearboxes and other machinery. The smaller flange makes B14 particularly useful for compact industrial applications.

B34 – Foot and Small Face Mounted
B34 motors combine foot mounting with a small B14-style flange. This provides greater flexibility during installation, allowing the motor to be secured using its feet while also providing a flange connection to the driven equipment. B34 is useful where both conventional foot mounting and direct flange mounting may be required.

B35 – Foot and Flange Mounted
B35 motors combine conventional foot mounting with a large B5-style flange. This provides a versatile mounting arrangement, allowing the motor to be secured to a base while also being directly connected to the driven equipment through the flange. B35 mounting is commonly used where additional mounting flexibility and a larger flange connection are required.
